LEH NUMBRA PENGONG KARGIL
Day 01: Arrive Srinagar
Arrive Srinagar airport. Later visit Mughal Gardens and Dal Lake. You may take a Shikara ride on the lake (on direct payment basis) return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Kargil. (205 Kms / 07 Hrs drive)
After an early breakfast, Pickup from Srinagar Hotel / houseboat and drive to Kargil, enroute stops include Sonamarg and Baltal hamlets, famous for rugged snow peaked meadows. Past Baltal cross over Zoji-La Pass (11,500 ft). We are in Drass valley with strikingly different landscape dotted with remote Group Tour Domestic mud huts giving an impression that you really have travelled back in time. Lunch will be at midway (on own). After a ID checks we continue on to Kargil. Dinner and overnight in Kargil.
Day 03: Kargil- Lamayuru- Leh (B.D): (204 kms)
After breakfast you will set off for Leh via Namika La-Fatu-La Pass,en routevisit Mulbek it is a huge
Maitreya Buddha statue, an image of a future Buddha, and cutting to the rock face beside the road. Proceed further towards Lamayuru & passing thru Namikala & Fatula Passes, the highest pass on Srinagar – Leh . After that visit the Lamayuru Monastery (oldest Monastery of Ladakh) and later have a magnificent view of spectacular Moon landscape. Continue drive to Leh En route visit enjoy the view of Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers Gurduwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill Point (where the cars defy gravity), Continue drive –we reach Leh 3500 meters. Hall of Fame (Museum Constructed by India Army) In the evening visit Shanti Stupaon the hill top where you can see a spectacular view of Leh town . Overnight Hotel in Leh.
Day 04: Leh-Nubra Valley. (120Kms on way)
After breakfast you will set off for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-La (The Highest Motor able road in the World alt: 5602Mts/18390Ft). It is situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. After descending from the pass, Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. Arrive at Hunder by afternoon Lunch visits to Diskit Monastery and has wonderful view of Nubra valley After being settled in Hotel/Camps. Options are hiking, flower watching or just relax and enjoy the nature and the 2 humped “Bactrian” camels. Riding are available at the base of additional payment. After being settled in a Hotel/ fixed Camp at Hunder/ Disket. (3330 Mts. above sea levels).
Day 05:Nubra ( Hunder) – Turtuk – Hunder. –( 160 Kms)
One of the moist fascinating journeys in Ladakh this is a less popular destination recently opened for tourist , if you have a thirst for a beautiful location this is the place. En route spectacular mountain ranges and Villages like. This region is controlled mainly by the Ladakh Scouts a rear department of the India Army. A border village that was recaptured by the Indian Army in 1971. Locals have relatives across the border (Line of Control) and depend mainly on farming of vegetables, apricot besides providing mules and porters. Baltistan.A beautiful village with charming people “On the night of December 13, 1971, the people of this village went to sleep in Pakistan. The next morning, they woke up in India.” We are in Turtuk, listening to a villager recount the history of this remote northwest corner of Ladakh, which until that night was part of Baltistan in PoK. A full day rough excursion evening back Hunder . After being settled in a Hotel/ fixed Camp at Hunder/ Disket.
Day 06: Nubra Valley – Shyok – Durbuk – Tangste – PangongTso same day back to Leh (approx
310 km)
After early breakfast, check out early and start your journey to Panging Lake alongside Shyok River and drive back to Leh. This route follows the Shyok River from Agham to Shyok Village, 36 km. You will have to cross the water streams on the way. Stop at Shyok village for a quick bite and snacks and move to Pangong Lake which is perhaps one of the most amazing lakes in Asia which changes its colour 4 – 5 times a day. After lunch back to Leh via Chang la pass {17500ft} Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in Leh. In the evening explore Leh market for Shopping and have the day for Leisure
Day 07: Leh–Shey- Rancho School -Hemis Monastries – Leh(86kms)
After breakfast you will set off for the East Indus Valley monastery tour including Shey, the ancient capital of Ladakh, Enroute visit (3 Idiots) School, Hemis Monastery (the largest & Richest monasteries in Ladakh) and An after Lunch . En route visit Tsemo and Leh Palace; from here you enjoy the amazing & breathtaking view of whole Leh town. Overnight at hotel in Leh. In the evening In the evening explore Leh market for Shopping and have the day for Leisure
Day 08: Departure: Tour concludes.
